MEET OUR PATIENT CARE COORDINATORS
Lauren is a joyful, Pacific Northwest native who decided to pack her bags and move to Columbia Missouri in January 2021. Before moving, Lauren spent most of her time overseas doing various kinds of humanitarian work. She’s been to 9 different countries, spanning from Southeast Asia, Africa, and Central / South America. She has experience running summer camps in Thailand, laying concrete in Guatemala and assisting children with special needs in Ecuador. Over the years, her travels have taught her to be open minded and experience life more fully! Lauren hopes to continue her travels and would even like to live in a different country one day.
Today, Lauren is a full time student, working towards an English degree. When she isn’t in the clinic or studying, you can find her at a local Crossfit gym. She believes in the holistic pursuit of health and wellness and hopes to support clients well in their own journey to feeling better. Lauren is passionate about good workouts, good coffee and great books. Being from Portland Oregon, you’ll find Lauren at her happiest on a dreary, rainy day where she can set up camp at a local coffee shop and read. |
After graduating with a degree in ceramics, Marisa moved from New York to Missouri to pursue an artist-in-residency program at a local community studio, teaching pottery classes for two years before finding her way to the team at Acupuncture of Columbia. She is currently enrolled at Stephens College, pursuing her Master's in Counseling with the intent to become an art therapist. She has three cats (Moose, Gene, and Donnie) and in her spare time enjoys pottery and painting.
